The Covid-19 pandemic has made it unsafe to provide face-to-face demonstrations or examinatioms of the assistive technology hardware and software in our AT resource center. To this end, we are able to provide virtual demonstrations of most items and to most interested patrons.
Virtual demonstrations are a safe way to introduce participants to the features of different types of AT devices using a video conferencing computer program.
The DC Assistive Technology Program uses the Zoom video conferencing program to provide virtual demonstrations and meetings. Participants are not required to create a Zoom account but the following is required:
Please submit an email to democenter@uls-dc.org describing your needs and the type of assistive technology you wish to see demonstrated. Please include any assistance you may require or questions you may have. A date and time will be scheduled within 2-3 business days.
