The use of
assistive technology has "changed my life and expanded my
mobility". Unable to go up and down the stairs in her

Carlos P. lives in a typical DC neighborhood, full of rolling hills.
For many years he rolled himself up the steep hills in a manual

Norma T. wanted to learn new skills and accomplish new goals; and she wanted to do it on her own. With the ATPDC loan she purchased screen reading software and a device to read her medicine bottles. Norma said it best "ahhh, the independence of it all".
