Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech)
A diverse resource for assistive technology (AT) and disability-related information.  Open to all.  Provides a searchable database which helps to target solutions, determine costs and find vendors of AT products.  AT vendors invited to register for inclusion into the database.

The Assistive Technology Training Online Project (ATTO)
Provides information on AT applications that help students with disabilities learn in elementary classrooms.


Employment

Job Accommodation Network
International consulting service providing information about job accommodations and the employability of people with disabilities.  Not a job placement service. 

The Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP)
Formerly, the President's Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities.  ODEP's goal is to increase employment of persons with disabilities through policy analysis, technical assistance and as well as outreach, education and constituent services.

Heath Resource Center
Provides a wealth of information relative to educational issues for post-secondary students with disabilities. 

 

State Advisory Panel on Special Education for the District of Columbia (SAPSEDC)
Advises and promotes quality, measurable and effective, positive educational outcomes for children and youth with disabilities.

Advocates For Justice
Work to empower parents to become better educational advocates on behalf of their children  in the District of Colombia Public School system and in the Juvenile Justice System.

National Organization on Disability
All encompassing organization. Site covers a wide range of topics and issues including advocacy, employment, healthcare, and political matters

National Rehabilitation Hospital
State of the art technologies for rehabilitation of the disabled.

National Rehabilitation Information Center
Collects and disseminates the results of federally funded research projects. NARIC's collection also includes commercially published books, journal articles, and audiovisuals. Abstracts of available documents can be searched from the website or by calling their offices. Document delivery and information and referral services also available. 

Universal Design

Trace Center
Dedicated to working on ways to make standard information technologies and telecommunications systems more accessible and usable by people with disabilities.

Legal and Political

Access Board
An independent federal agency with information on Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act which requires that electronic and information technology developed, procured, maintained, or used by the federal government be accessible to people with disabilities.

Association of Assistive Technology Act Programs (ATAP)
A national, member-based organization, comprised of state Assistive Technology Act Programs funded under the Assistive Technology Act (AT Act).  Established to support and enhance the effectiveness of AT Programs on the state and local level, and promote the national network of AT Programs.

Disability and Business Technical Assistance Centers (DBTAC)
Established to provide information, training, and technical assistance to employers, people with disabilities, and other entities with responsibilities under the ADA. 

RESNA
Professional organization for rehab engineering and assistive technology.  Provides technical assistance to all Tech Projects and links to the Tech Projects in all 56 U.S. states and territories.

Abledata
A national database of information on more than 17,000 products that are currently available for people with disabilities.

Georgia Tech Center for Assistive Technology and Environmental Access/Assistivetech.net
Information resource providing up-to-date, thorough information on assistive technologies, adaptive environments and community resources. Site has a product database and discussion groups.  

Ability Hub
Extensive site that helps in finding information on adaptive equipment and alternative methods available for accessing computers.

Rehab Tool
Website of comprehensive assistive technology information for consumers and service providers. Features links to product and vendor databases, news and events, book and video reviews, discussion forums, and more.
