of Columb The DCATRC is located at 810 First Street, NE, Ninth Floor. For further information please contact us: Kazuko Ross (Kaz) Directions: By Subway: Take the Red Line to the Union Station stop. Exit from First St. Take a right and proceed down First St. approximately 11/2 blocks. The building is on the left in the Union Centre plaza, across from the Care First building. The DCATRC is located on the 9th Floor. There are security personnel in the building lobby and in the lobby of the 9th Floor should you need assistance. By Car: From the intersection of New York Ave. and Florida Ave. N.E.; head south on First St. N.E. towards Union Station. Proceed pass the Greyhound bus station and pass the intersection of First and K. Sts. The building is on the right. There is metered parking and several parking lots in the area.

Rehabilitation Services Administration (DCRSA), has established the District
of Columbia Assistive Technology Resource Center (DCATRC). Working
with local and national assistive technology vendors, private for-profit
entities and nonprofit organizations, the DCATRC was opened in 1999 and displays a broad range of
low tech and high tech items including communication aids, environmental
control systems, sensory aids, aids
for daily living, and technology for
use in the classroom. This free center has examples of assistive
technology which can accommodate the vocational, educational and
independent living needs of individuals with disabilities. ATPDC staff
help visitors investigate and compare items, discuss their applications
and learn about assistive technology vendors and funding sources as well
as equipment maintenance and warranty options. Interested
